Lichtenstein Tribute
The Lichtenstein Tribute series engages directly with the artistic legacy of Roy Lichtenstein, one of pop art’s defining figures. These works apply digital glitch and aesthetic corruption to Lichtenstein’s iconic imagery, creating a dialogue between modernist pop art sensibilities and contemporary digital-age aesthetics.
Concept and Process
Each work in this series takes inspiration from Lichtenstein’s characteristic visual language—bold outlines, limited color palettes, Ben Day dot patterns, and narrative pop imagery—and subjects it to digital glitch processing and transformation. The series explores how contemporary glitch aesthetics can reinterpret and reimagine twentieth-century pop art, creating a temporal dialogue between aesthetic movements.
